Closed study rooms in PCL are available for assignment to University of Texas at Austin doctoral candidates who have reached candidacy status and to current University of Texas at Austin permanent faculty.

Foundry Reservation Policy

Overview

The Foundry, a service and space of the University of Texas Libraries (Libraries), is primarily intended to be a teaching and learning space for UT students, faculty and staff.  Requests for use of the space by non-Libraries groups and departments will be considered if they do not interfere with the mission of The Foundry.  When not in use as a teaching space The Foundry is open to anyone as a collaborative study and workspace.

Food and drink

Food and drink are not allowed in The Foundry unless otherwise approved.

Walter Geology Library (WGL) Facility Use Policy

Welcome to the Walter Geology Library (WGL), located on the fourth floor of the Jackson Geological Sciences Building.

We welcome researchers who are not affiliated with the University of Texas, however, our focus remains on the educational, research and study needs of current University of Texas students, faculty and staff.

This Facility Use Policy has been created to protect the rights and safety of WGL users and staff, and for preserving and protecting WGL materials, equipment, and facilities.

Reservation Requests by non-University of Texas Libraries Departments

Overview

The UFCU Room, a service and space of the University of Texas Libraries (UTL), is primarily intended to be a learning and study space for UT students, faculty and staff. 

Events

Events are considered on a case-by-case basis in light of the time of the semester and number of existing reservations.  Approval of all reservations is at the discretion of the University of Texas Libraries administration.
