The UT Science Communication Interest Group, Graduate School and the University of Texas Libraries present Research Speed-Dating, a professional development event for graduate students that hones your ability to explain your research to laypersons.
You’ll receive feedback from attendees outside your discipline—
- what they do and don’t understand,
- their sense of why your research matters
- suggestions for communication and presentation style
—which you can immediately incorporate and try again. You’ll provide the same feedback for others.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
